CM Punjab Meets Portuguese Ambassador: Important Decision for Foreign Investors

Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, met with the Portuguese Ambassador to Pakistan, Mr. Manuel Frederico Pinheiro Da Silva, where they decided to redesign the incentive package for foreign investors in Punjab. During the meeting, it was agreed to form bilateral teams to enhance mutual relations and increase trade volume between the two nations. Additionally, both sides decided to benefit from Portugal’s expertise and experiences in various sectors.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz called for a sustainable and effective plan to further strengthen relations. The meeting also discussed promoting cooperation in education, healthcare, IT, agriculture, and tourism. Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized that Pakistan values its diplomatic ties with Portugal and aims to further enhance them. She welcomed Portuguese investors to invest in Punjab’s tourism sector, assuring them of a favorable investment environment.

The meeting was also attended by Portugal’s Honorary Consul Iftikhar Feroze, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Additional Secretary Sarah Hayat, and other officials.
