Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, US Diplomat Discuss Strategic Ties and Global Cooperation

United States Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, in Islamabad on Thursday to discuss a range of issues of mutual interest.

During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed the importance of the longstanding Pakistan-US partnership in promoting regional peace, security, and stability. The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in bilateral and multilateral arenas.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to advancing shared objectives with the United States, particularly in view of Pakistan’s upcoming term as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for 2025-2026.

Both parties acknowledged the significance of close cooperation at international forums and expressed a mutual desire to further deepen engagement on key global issues, including peacekeeping, regional security, and economic development.
