DG ISPR Warns of Decisive Response to Any Future Attack on Pakistan’s Sovereignty
Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has issued a strong warning that any future attack on Pakistan’s sovereignty will be met with a forceful and comprehensive response.
Addressing a critical press conference alongside senior officers of the Pakistan Navy and Air Force, DG ISPR revealed that India targeted civilian areas in Azad Kashmir using heavy weaponry and violated Pakistani airspace through drone incursions. The cross-border aggression on May 6 and 7 resulted in the martyrdom of innocent civilians, including women and children.
He clarified that Pakistan launched Operation Banyan Mars in response to Indian aggression and targeted important Indian military installations. Precision strikes were conducted on Uri Network Station and Poonch Radar, among other locations. Notably, India’s advanced S-400 air defense systems at Adampur and Bhatinda were also successfully neutralized.
Key targets included:
- Military installations in Surtgarh, Sirsa, Adampur, Awantipora
- Storage facilities in Beas and Nagrota housing BrahMos missiles
- Command headquarters involved in planning civilian attacks
- Sites in Jammu, Udhampur, Mamun, Ambala, and Pathankot
DG ISPR emphasized that Pakistan employed advanced technology selectively, ensuring civilian populations were not harmed. He reaffirmed that all strikes were carried out with “skill, restraint, and precision.”
He further stated that the Pakistani Armed Forces fulfilled their promise to the nation, expressing gratitude to the nation, civil leadership, and media. “The Pakistani media stood firm against Indian narratives, and global outlets confirmed the accuracy of Pakistan’s targeted military strikes,” he added.
DG ISPR also accused India of being involved in terrorism within Pakistan, noting that Islamabad has credible evidence of such activities. He stated that Pakistan successfully hit 26 Indian military targets used for operations against Pakistan.
