Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Egypt’s Foreign Minister Condemn Israeli Actions in Gaza, Call for Immediate Ceasefire

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, alongside Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, strongly criticized the ongoing Israeli actions in Gaza, labeling them as genocide. The two leaders, meeting on the sidelines of the D-8 Ministerial Meeting in Cairo, condemned the atrocities and called for an immediate ceasefire to prevent further innocent Palestinian casualties, according to a press release from the Office of the DPM.

During the meeting, both ministers expressed unwavering support for the establishment of a viable, contiguous, and independent Palestinian state, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, based on pre-June 1967 borders.

DPM Dar also congratulated Egypt for hosting the D-8 Summit and Ministerial Meeting and extended gratitude to FM Abdelatty for his warm hospitality. The two leaders agreed to deepen political, defense, cultural, economic, and trade relations, while also fostering stronger people-to-people connections.

Dar also praised Egypt’s efforts in facilitating humanitarian assistance for the people of Gaza and its diplomatic initiatives aimed at achieving a ceasefire in Palestine.
