Dr. Al-Issa emphasized the need for responsible dialogue about Islamic teachings.
The French Institute of International Relations (Ifri) hosted a distinguished seminar featuring Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars and Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL).
The event gathered a select group of international scholars, policy experts, and representatives from leading think tanks and research institutes. The Secretary-General of Ifri welcomed Dr. Al-Issa, setting the tone for a dialogue centered on advancing global understanding of religious values and terminology.
During his keynote address, Dr. Al-Issa discussed several pressing issues relevant to the MWL’s mission, particularly the misinterpretation and misuse of religious concepts in global conversations. He emphasized the need for responsible dialogue, accurate definitions, and cross-cultural education to bridge misunderstandings about Islamic teachings.
The seminar also explored the MWL’s efforts to promote interfaith harmony, combat extremism, and support peaceful coexistence through education and intellectual exchange.
Attendees commended the initiative, describing it as a timely and vital contribution to ongoing international efforts aimed at fostering religious clarity, tolerance, and cooperation.
