Ethiopian Athletes Dominate Berlin Marathon with Victories in Men’s and Women’s Races

Ethiopian athletes showcased their remarkable performance at the Berlin Marathon, claiming victory in both the men’s and women’s races.

In the men’s event, 24-year-old Melkisa Mengesha defeated Kenya’s Cybrian Kot by just five seconds, finishing in two hours, three minutes, and 17 seconds. Ethiopia’s Hemanot Aliyu secured third place.

In the women’s event, 26-year-old Tigist Ketema from Ethiopia took first place with a time of two hours, 16 minutes, and 42 seconds. Her compatriots Mestawot Fikir and Bosena Molati finished in second and third place, respectively.
