European Union Expresses Full Support for UN Secretary-General

The European Union has condemned the ongoing campaign against United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, declaring its complete support for him. Josep Borrell, the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, stated that Guterres has made significant efforts to resolve conflicts around the world, and blaming him for a lack of success in achieving peace is unjustified.

In his remarks, Borrell emphasized, “We support the tireless efforts of the UN Secretary-General in all conflicts, particularly in achieving peace in the Middle East.” He also condemned the unwarranted attacks against Guterres and the deaths of humanitarian workers associated with the UN.
