Field Marshal Title Is a National Trust, Millions of Asims Can Sacrifice to Uphold It: Field Marshal Asim Munir

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, following his historic promotion, expressed deep gratitude to the nation, declaring the Field Marshal rank a sacred responsibility entrusted by the people and the armed forces.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir stated:

“I thank Almighty Allah for this honour. I dedicate this prestigious title to the people of Pakistan, the armed forces, and especially to our civil and military martyrs and war veterans.”

He added:

“This is not an individual honour. It is a tribute to the armed forces and the resilient people of Pakistan. This title is a national trust, and to uphold it, even millions of Asims are ready to sacrifice their lives.”

ISPR confirmed that Field Marshal Asim Munir extended heartfelt appreciation to the President, Prime Minister, federal cabinet, and the nation for their unwavering trust and recognition of the military’s dedication.

Government Approves Promotion to Field Marshal

The federal government approved the promotion of General Syed Asim Munir to Field Marshal following his exemplary leadership during Operation Bunyān-e-Marsūs. His strategic brilliance and resolute command led to a decisive victory against Indian aggression on May 6–7, 2025.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during a federal cabinet session, congratulated the entire nation on this significant military achievement. The cabinet lauded the Armed Forces’ role in ensuring national security and sovereignty.
