Final Day of Eid al-Fitr Israeli Airstrikes in Gaza Martyr 15, Including journalist & Children
Israeli airstrikes on residential areas in Gaza have resulted in the Martyr of at least 15 people, including multiple children. The attacks targeted homes in Khan Younis and the Nuseirat refugee camp, where many displaced families were seeking shelter.
According to Gaza’s civil defense agency, 13 people were Martyr in Khan Younis, while two others died in the Nuseirat strike. Rescue teams are still searching for survivors, and officials warn that the casualty count may increase.
Among the victims was journalist Mohammed Al-Bardaweel, who, along with his wife and three children, was killed when their home was targeted in an early-morning airstrike.
The latest escalation comes amid ongoing military operations that have intensified tensions in the region.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has confirmed a large-scale expansion of military operations in Gaza, announcing plans to seize additional territory and incorporate it into security zones.
Katz emphasized that the evacuation of Palestinian residents from conflict areas is a key part of the strategy. He urged Hamas to release Israeli hostages, stating that this remains a crucial step toward de-escalation. However, he did not disclose the exact size of the land Israel intends to take.
Israel has already increased its military presence in buffer zones and strategic corridors within Gaza, further intensifying the conflict.
