Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has announced that all issues with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have been resolved smoothly. He stated that the final approval for the IMF agreement will be sought at the board meeting later this month.
Aurangzeb reported that Pakistan’s economy is transitioning from stability to growth, with a reduction in interest rates expected to stimulate investment and business activities. He noted that this economic boost will create job opportunities and that the persistent decrease in inflation is starting to benefit the average citizen.
The Finance Minister also mentioned that the path has been cleared for the IMF’s $7 billion loan. He expressed appreciation for the contributions of the Prime Minister’s team, the IMF negotiation team, and other relevant agencies who played a key role in reaching the final stages of the deal.
