Pakistan and the United States reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations during a high-level meeting between Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch and a visiting delegation of US Congressmen on Saturday.

The American delegation included Congressmen Jack Bergman, Tom Suozzi, and Jonathan Jackson, who are currently on an official visit to Pakistan. According to a statement released by the Foreign Office Spokesperson, the meeting focused on deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade, regional security, climate action, and people-to-people exchanges.

Mutual Commitment to Partnership

Foreign Secretary Baloch highlighted the importance of sustained engagement and constructive dialogue to advance shared goals. She appreciated the US support in various development sectors and reiterated Pakistan’s interest in expanding economic and investment ties.

The US lawmakers acknowledged Pakistan’s geostrategic importance and key role in promoting regional stability. They expressed interest in enhancing collaboration across multiple sectors and promoting greater understanding between the two countries.
