France Denies Scheduled Europe-Iran Meeting Following Delay in US-Iran Nuclear Talks

Report By Safarti Tarjuman International Desk

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot has confirmed there will be no meeting between European and Iranian officials on Friday, contradicting earlier statements from Tehran.

Barrot told AFP that a technical meeting had initially been planned ahead of what would have been the third high-level round of nuclear negotiations between the United States and Iran. However, since the US-Iran talks have been postponed, he clarified that the European meeting is now “no longer relevant, at least at that time.”

The delay in nuclear talks adds to the uncertainty surrounding efforts to revive diplomatic engagement with Iran, especially on issues related to its nuclear program.
