Gaza: Hamas Calls Refugees’ Successful Return a Symbol of Failure for Zionist Plans
The Palestinian Islamic resistance movement, Hamas, in a statement, emphasized that despite the Zionist occupation, the return of millions of Palestinian refugees to Gaza is a symbol of the failure of the occupying Israeli government and a demonstration of the strength of the Palestinian people. Hamas stated that this return marks the fulfillment of the Palestinians’ great dream of returning to their homeland.
According to Hamas, the historical scene of Gaza’s refugees returning and the passionate human march towards the north shattered the illusions of the Israeli occupying government that aimed to displace, terrorize, and defeat the people of Gaza. The statement emphasized that this event proves that resistance, authenticity, and steadfastness cannot be eradicated from this land.
Hamas further stated that despite the presence of Israel’s ultra-radical government, the return of millions of displaced people to northern Gaza is a clear testament to Palestinian power. It is a reflection of the sacrifices, resistance, and the ongoing struggle to liberate the land and sacred sites from the Zionist forces, who have been carrying out terrorism and fascism for 77 years. This, according to Hamas, is proof of the Palestinians’ victory over the occupation.
The statement underscored that this courageous return is a fundamental symbol of the failure of Zionist plans in Palestine, marking the collapse of these plans against the resilience, determination, and resistance of the Palestinian people. It sent a clear message to the occupiers that the end of the occupation and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital will be realized.
On the morning of January 28, 2025, thousands of people displaced from central and southern Gaza Strip, after enduring more than 15 months of Zionist aggression, genocide, and forced displacement, began their journey back towards the northern regions, passing through al-Rashid and Salah al-Din Street.
