GCC and MWL Condemn Israeli Airstrike on Syria’s Koya

 

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Muslim World League (MWL) have issued strong condemnations against the Israeli airstrike on the Syrian town of Koya, calling it a grave violation of sovereignty and international laws.

In an official statement, GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi criticized the attack, labeling it an act of aggression that undermines regional peace and stability. He reiterated the GCC’s commitment to Syria’s sovereignty, stressing that respecting territorial integrity is crucial for maintaining security in the region. Albudaiwi urged the international community to intervene and halt such escalations to prevent further instability.

Similarly, MWL Secretary-General Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa denounced the airstrike, highlighting its dangerous implications for the broader Middle East. He emphasized that Israel’s actions contravene international laws and threaten global peace. Dr. Al-Issa called for urgent international action to hold Israel accountable and prevent further hostilities.

The attack has drawn sharp criticism from various global entities, with growing calls for diplomatic intervention to curb escalating tensions and safeguard Syria’s sovereignty and security.
