ISLAMABAD – Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council and Secretary General of the International Council for the Protection of the Two Holy Mosques, held an important meeting with Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Maliki in Islamabad.

During the meeting, Hafiz Ashrafi extended heartfelt gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the outstanding arrangements made for Hajj 2025. He said the Kingdom’s commitment to serving pilgrims reflects the true spirit of leadership and devotion to the Muslim Ummah.

Ashrafi commended Saudi Arabia’s proactive stance on regional peace, particularly during the Iran-Israel conflict. He praised Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for uniting the Muslim world during a critical time and for leading diplomatic efforts to resolve the Palestine issue.

Highlighting the Kingdom’s stabilizing influence in Lebanon and Syria, Ashrafi called these initiatives “unforgettable” and urged Riyadh to adopt a similar role in addressing the long-standing Kashmir dispute. He stressed that the Muslim Ummah looks up to Saudi Arabia’s leadership not only for spiritual guidance but also for political and humanitarian unity.

Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Maliki emphasized that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia stand united on key global and regional issues. He said no external force can weaken the historic and strategic partnership between the two nations.

He added that Saudi Arabia is actively working to preserve Muslim unity and is committed to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. The Kingdom continues to provide unwavering support for Palestinian brothers and will not waver in its humanitarian and political efforts.

Commenting on the future of pilgrimage services, Ambassador Al-Maliki affirmed that Saudi Arabia is determined to enhance facilities for Hajj and Umrah in coming years. Under the leadership of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Kingdom is prioritizing comfort, safety, and accessibility for all pilgrims visiting the holy sites.
