The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has announced that the Hajj 2025 Khutbah (sermon) will be translated into 35 languages. The initiative ensures that millions of pilgrims from across the globe can understand the vital messages delivered during the Day of Arafah, one of the most sacred moments of the Islamic pilgrimage.

This year’s translation marks a significant increase from previous Hajj seasons, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to make Islamic rituals more accessible to the international Muslim community. The 35 languages cover a wide array of regions, including Arabic, English, Urdu, French, Indonesian, Bengali, Russian, Turkish, Persian, Chinese (Mandarin), Hausa, and Swahili, among others.

The diversity of languages highlights the Kingdom’s dedication to serving pilgrims regardless of nationality, language, or cultural background.

To reach the widest audience, the translated Khutbah will be made available through various platforms:

  • FM Radio Broadcasts: Pilgrims can tune into designated frequencies based on language.
  • Mobile Applications: Official Hajj apps will stream real-time translations during the sermon.
  • On-Ground Interpretation Services: Live interpreters will assist worshippers at Masjid al-Haram and surrounding areas.

These services ensure that linguistic barriers do not hinder the spiritual fulfillment of any pilgrim.

The Khutbah delivered on the Day of Arafah is one of the most spiritually significant events during Hajj, offering guidance, reflection, and unity. By providing translations, the initiative allows every pilgrim—regardless of their native tongue—to deeply connect with the sermon’s meaning.

This effort not only enhances individual understanding but also fosters a sense of global unity among the Muslim ummah.

Religious scholars and international Muslim leaders have praised the move as a milestone in accessibility. The Kingdom’s commitment to modernizing services while preserving Islamic tradition continues to elevate the Hajj experience year after year.

Pilgrims are advised to follow official Hajj communication platforms for information on accessing the translated sermons during their journey.
