Hezbollah Reaffirms Support for Palestine, Calls for Israeli Withdrawal
Hezbollah’s Deputy Secretary-General, Naim Qassem, has reiterated the group’s steadfast support for Palestine, calling for a complete Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory and an end to military aggression.
Speaking in an interview with Al-Manar TV, Qassem emphasized Hezbollah’s commitment to resisting what he described as Israel’s regional ambitions, asserting that its policies threaten not just Palestine but the broader Middle East.
“Our objective is not only to support the Palestinian people in reclaiming their land but also to safeguard our own sovereignty,” Qassem stated. “Standing with Palestine is integral to our national security and regional stability.”
He acknowledged the evolving geopolitical landscape but stressed that Hezbollah’s principles remain unchanged.
“Power dynamics may shift, but we will not allow these changes to favor Israeli interests. Our focus is on shaping a future that ensures security and dignity for our people,” he added.
His remarks come amid ongoing border tensions between Israel and Lebanon, raising concerns over potential escalation in the region.
