IEA Consul General Meets Sindh Police Chief to Address Afghan Migrants’ Concerns

 

Mawlavi Syed Abdul Jabbar Takhari, the Consul General of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) in Karachi, met with Ghulam Nabi Memon, the Chief of Sindh Police, to discuss issues affecting Afghan migrants in Pakistan.

During the meeting, Takhari emphasized the need to protect documented Afghan residents from undue harassment and ensure their rights are upheld. He called on the police to facilitate a secure environment for Afghan nationals legally residing in the country.

Sindh Police Chief Memon assured full cooperation, stating that law enforcement agencies would work closely with the Afghan Consulate to address the community’s concerns and prevent any unwarranted actions against documented migrants.

The engagement highlights ongoing diplomatic efforts between Afghanistan and Pakistan to safeguard Afghan nationals and improve coordination on migration-related challenges.
