India Expels Another Pakistani Diplomat Over Alleged Undiplomatic Activities
Report by Safarti Tarjuman International Desk
Tensions between Pakistan and India escalated on Wednesday after New Delhi declared another Pakistani diplomat as persona non grata and ordered him to leave the country within 24 hours.
According to official sources, the Pakistani Chargé d’Affaires in New Delhi was summoned to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs where a formal demarche was issued. The Indian government claimed the expelled diplomat was engaged in conduct deemed incompatible with diplomatic norms and responsibilities.
New Delhi asserted that the diplomat’s actions violated the Vienna Convention, accusing him of misusing diplomatic privileges.
The incident marks another chapter in the ongoing tensions between the two countries, both of which have exchanged similar expulsions in the past. India reiterated its position that any foreign diplomat operating outside their mandate would face immediate and firm action.
Islamabad has not yet issued an official response. However, diplomatic insiders suggest that Pakistan may view the expulsion as politically motivated and part of a sustained pattern of pressure on its mission in India.
The latest development comes amid a broader context of regional mistrust and highlights the fragile nature of diplomatic engagement between the nuclear-armed neighbors.
