Indian Aggression Claims 26 Lives, 46 Injured Across Pakistan: ISPR Confirms
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has confirmed that 26 Pakistani civilians were martyred and 46 injured in a series of unprovoked Indian attacks during the night of May 6 and 7. According to ISPR Director General Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the Indian military deliberately targeted civilian locations, including mosques and residential areas, in a cowardly and unjustified escalation.
In Ahmedpur Sharqia, the Subhan Allah Mosque was bombarded, resulting in 13 deaths, including two 3-year-old girls, seven women, and four men. Thirty-one civilians sustained injuries, and four residential quarters were damaged. In Muzaffarabad, Indian forces launched seven airstrikes on Bilal Mosque, killing three civilians and injuring a young girl. The mosque was completely destroyed. Kotli suffered five strikes on the Abbas Mosque, leading to the martyrdom of a 16-year-old girl and an 18-year-old boy.
Muridke’s Um-ul-Qura Mosque was hit by four strikes, leaving three men dead and one injured. 2 civilians reported missing, Mosque and quarters were damaged. In Sialkot’s Kotli Loharan village, two strikes occurred, but no casualties were reported as one shell landed in an open field. In Shakargarh, two additional strikes damaged a dispensary without causing any loss of life.
Along the Line of Control, five more civilians, including a 5-year-old child, were martyred due to India’s unprovoked shelling. The ISPR emphasized that India’s deliberate targeting of mosques and religious sites represents a dangerous and extremist Hindutva-driven policy, which violates international laws and human rights.
Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif confirmed that the Pakistan Armed Forces delivered an immediate and powerful response. The Pakistan Air Force shot down five Indian aircraft and one drone. All defensive systems and assets remain fully functional and secure. He also revealed that India targeted strategic infrastructure, including the Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project and Noseri Dam, causing serious damage to water facilities. ISPR condemned these actions as violations of war conventions and a threat to civilian life and environmental stability.
The ISPR reiterated that Pakistan will not tolerate any attack on its sovereignty or territorial integrity. The armed forces, supported by the nation, continue to respond with strength and precision. Lt. Gen. Chaudhry warned that India’s miscalculations and hostile intentions will be firmly countered and that the price for such provocations will be heavy.
