
Iran and Pakistan Strengthen Defense Cooperation in High-Level Talks

Deputy Minister of Defense of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Brigadier General Syed Hojatollah Qureshi, engaged in discussions with Pakistan’s Minister of Defense, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, as well as senior officials from the Pakistan Air Force and Navy.
According to a statement from Pakistan’s Ministry of Defense, both leaders expressed satisfaction with the current level of defense cooperation but agreed on the need to expand this partnership further. Minister Khawaja Asif also acknowledged Iran’s longstanding support for oppressed nations, praising the leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran for its principled stance.
Additionally, Brigadier General Qureshi met with Pakistan’s Air Force Commander and Navy Deputy Commander in Rawalpindi, where they discussed matters of mutual interest, including border control and counter-terrorism efforts. Both sides expressed confidence in the progress made in these areas and committed to enhancing cooperation in defense and security matters.
The talks between Iran and Pakistan’s defense officials were described as constructive, with both sides emphasizing the importance of bolstering their defense ties to address regional challenges.
