Islamic Revolution Anniversary Celebrated in Islamabad with Participation of Prominent Pakistani Figures
The Iranian Embassy in Islamabad hosted a grand ceremony to mark the 46th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, attended by Pakistan’s Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, senior civil and military officials, diplomats, and prominent political and religious figures.
The event, held at a prestigious hotel in Islamabad, was warmly welcomed by Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moqadam. Addressing the gathering, the ambassador described the Islamic Revolution as one of the most significant events of the 20th century, emphasizing its core principles of freedom, autonomy, and the Islamic Republic.
Highlighting Iran’s progress despite external challenges, he noted the country’s advancements in science and technology, medical research, nanotechnology, stem cells, and aerospace. He reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to strengthening regional ties, particularly with Pakistan, stating that relations with neighboring countries remain a cornerstone of Iran’s foreign policy.
The ceremony saw participation from senior Pakistani politicians, heads of religious and political parties, journalists, as well as ambassadors and military and cultural attachés from various countries. The Iranian ambassador credited the leadership of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution as a key factor in fostering strong relations between Iran and Pakistan.
