Iran Offers to Mediate Between Pakistan and India Amid Tensions
Report By Safarti Tarjuman International Desk
Iran has expressed its willingness to mediate between Pakistan and India to help ease current tensions and promote regional peace.
In a message posted on social media platform X, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi announced Tehran’s readiness to facilitate dialogue between the two neighboring South Asian nations. He emphasized the deep-rooted cultural and civilizational bonds Iran shares with both Pakistan and India.
“India and Pakistan are not just neighbors, they are our brothers, connected to us through centuries of shared culture and heritage,” Araghchi stated.
Iran Committed to Regional Peace and Dialogue
The Iranian foreign minister noted that Tehran views its neighbors as a top priority and is fully prepared to play a constructive role in fostering mutual understanding between Islamabad and New Delhi.
“At this critical time, Iran stands ready to use all available channels to promote peace and dialogue between the two sides,” he added.
Araghchi invoked the timeless wisdom of Persian poet Saadi to illustrate Iran’s approach to diplomacy and empathy:
“The child of Adam are limbs of one body, From created the same essence. When one limb suffers, the others feel the pain.”
Regional Relevance and Diplomatic Message
Iran’s offer comes amid heightened concerns in the region. The gesture underscores Tehran’s commitment to peaceful conflict resolution and its desire to serve as a bridge between nations in times of crisis.
