Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi declared that Iran has “no red lines” in safeguarding its security and is fully prepared for any military confrontation, though the country remains committed to peace. Speaking alongside Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein in Baghdad, Araghchi emphasized that Iran’s focus is on stability and conflict resolution, despite its readiness for defense.
During the press conference, Araghchi stated, “Iran is fully equipped and prepared for war if needed, but our aim is peace, not conflict. We have made significant efforts recently to prevent a broader war in the region, and we will continue to prioritize dialogue.”
The Iranian Foreign Minister also addressed the country’s regional stance, assuring that Iran will persist in its efforts to support peace initiatives, particularly in Gaza and Lebanon. “Our mission is to halt the spread of conflicts and promote peace. We will continue to engage in talks to ensure the security of the region,” he said.
Araghchi’s remarks come amid rising tensions in the Middle East, and his statements reaffirm Iran’s readiness to defend its interests while advocating for diplomatic solutions.
