Iran to unveil AI-enhanced long range cruise missiles Exceeding 1,000 KM

Iran has introduced a new generation of long-range cruise missiles incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) for enhanced precision and operational efficiency, a senior military official announced.

Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy, disclosed the development during a military event, underscoring Iran’s commitment to advancing its defense capabilities despite international sanctions.

Advanced Missile Capabilities

The newly unveiled missiles exceed a range of 1,000 kilometers and integrate AI-powered targeting and navigation systems. These innovations are designed to improve accuracy, counter electronic warfare threats, and adapt in real time to dynamic combat conditions.

Speaking at the event marking the anniversary of Operation Valfajr-8, Tangsiri highlighted Iran’s self-reliance in defense technology, citing advancements in drones, submarines, and naval vessels as part of its strategic military expansion.

The IRGC Navy chief reaffirmed Iran’s preparedness to defend its territorial waters, issuing a warning against any external threats. “Our naval forces remain fully ready to counter any aggression,” he stated, emphasizing the strong cooperation between Iran’s conventional navy and the IRGC forces in safeguarding national security.
