TEHRAN — Iran has issued a strong warning to the United States through its latest missile barrage on Israel, deploying an advanced and highly maneuverable weapon in a clear display of growing regional power. The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) confirmed that Fattah hypersonic missiles were used in the 11th wave of retaliatory strikes against Israeli military targets.
In a statement released early Wednesday, the IRGC said the deployment of first-generation Fattah missiles, which successfully penetrated Israeli air defense systems, served as a strategic message to Washington, the primary backer of Israel.
“The missile strike demonstrated our full control over the skies of the occupied territories, whose residents are now completely defenseless against Iran’s precision firepower,” the IRGC declared.
According to footage captured from inside Israeli cities, several of the Iranian missiles reached their targets. For the second consecutive night, Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system appeared to malfunction, launching interceptors erratically and reportedly triggering a fire in Tel Aviv.
The psychological impact of the strikes has been severe, with life virtually paralyzed across the occupied territories, where residents have retreated into bomb shelters for extended periods.
Iran’s armed forces have promised that the missile campaign will continue as long as necessary, emphasizing that their response is proportionate and defensive. Officials in Tehran maintain that Israel’s aggression has crossed all red lines and necessitates a firm and ongoing counteraction.
