Iran has issued a stark warning to the United States against any involvement in Israel’s ongoing military campaign, cautioning that U.S. intervention would trigger severe and irreversible consequences across the Middle East.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, speaking from Istanbul following diplomatic talks with European leaders in Geneva, described potential U.S. military engagement as “very, very dangerous for everyone.” He emphasized that Washington’s entry into the conflict would escalate an already volatile situation and deepen instability in the region.
Araqchi warned that any form of American participation would be “very unfortunate,” underscoring that Iran would respond decisively to foreign aggression.
The conflict began on June 13 when Israel launched surprise airstrikes targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities, military assets, and residential zones. The attacks led to the deaths of senior Iranian military commanders, nuclear scientists, and numerous civilians.
In retaliation, Iran launched Operation True Promise III, with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force conducting 18 waves of missile attacks against Israeli targets by June 21. The Iranian response has marked a significant escalation in hostilities between the two regional powers.
As military confrontations intensify, Iran continues to frame Israel’s actions as a “war of aggression” and has reiterated its stance that it will defend its sovereignty at all costs. Regional observers fear that U.S. involvement could lead to a full-scale regional war involving multiple actors and potentially destabilizing the entire Middle East.
International observers warn that direct U.S. involvement could ignite a broader war involving multiple nations, complicating efforts to restore peace and stability.
