Israeli Army Officer Killed During Fighting in Gaza

Israeli army officer, Colonel Ihsan Daqsa, was killed during clashes in Gaza. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported that the 41-year-old commander of the 401st Armored Brigade lost his life during an operation against Hamas in Jabalia, where he encountered an explosive device.

In addition to Colonel Daqsa’s death, the incident also resulted in injuries to the battalion commander and two other personnel. According to Israeli media, a total of six Israeli colonels have been killed since the onset of the current conflict, four of whom were killed on October 7.

The ongoing violence in Gaza continues to escalate, highlighting the high stakes and casualties on both sides amid the ongoing hostilities.
