KARACHI – The Italian Navy frigate ITS Antonio Marceglia docked at Karachi Port on Tuesday for a three-day goodwill visit, highlighting the growing maritime cooperation between the Pakistan Navy and the Italian Navy.
A formal reception ceremony was held at the port where the Commanding Officer and crew of the visiting frigate were warmly welcomed by Pakistan Navy officials. The Ambassador of Italy to Pakistan, along with senior diplomats from the Italian Consulate, also attended the ceremony.
During its stay, the ship’s crew will participate in multiple engagements aimed at strengthening professional and operational ties between the two navies. These include:
- Cross-deck visits
- Joint training sessions
- Maritime security discussions
The visit is part of efforts to enhance mutual understanding and foster greater interoperability in naval operations.
The visit will conclude with a Sea Phase, where both navies will conduct warfare-related drills to boost tactical coordination and regional maritime security preparedness
