Khamenei Vows Harsh Retaliation for Israeli Strikes: “Bitter Fate Awaits Zionist Regime”

TEHRAN – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has condemned Israel’s early Friday airstrikes on Iran, vowing that the Israeli regime will face “severe punishment” for what he described as a “heinous crime.”

The Israeli attack, which struck multiple locations including residential areas, reportedly killed several Iranian civilians, top commanders, and nuclear scientists.

In a strongly worded statement issued following the strike, Ayatollah Khamenei addressed the Iranian nation:

“At dawn today, the Zionist regime committed a heinous crime on our beloved soil, revealing its evil nature more than ever by targeting residential areas with its wicked and bloodstained hands. The regime must await a severe punishment.”

He added that the Iranian Armed Forces will ensure that Israel is held accountable, stating, “By God’s will, the powerful hand of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic will not let it go unpunished.”

Khamenei confirmed the loss of several high-ranking military officials and scientists in the strike. However, he assured the nation that their successors would continue their missions without interruption.

“Their successors and colleagues will immediately carry on their duties, God willing,” he affirmed.

Khamenei warned that Israel has sealed its fate with what he described as an act of aggression:
