Korean Culture Shines at NUML as Ambassador Park Engages Youth Through Film and Music
The National University of Modern Languages (NUML) brought Korean culture to life through an engaging event titled “Korea Meets Young Pakistan”, organized in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.
The event featured Korean Movie Day and a keynote lecture by Korean Ambassador Park Kijun, emphasizing the deepening ties between Korea and Pakistan, especially in the fields of youth exchange, education, and cultural diplomacy.
Ambassador Park, who attended as the Chief Guest, addressed the students and faculty, highlighting the value of cultural exchange in strengthening bilateral relations. He praised the youth of Pakistan for their curiosity and openness to Korean traditions, innovation, and language.
The Rector of NUML reaffirmed the university’s dedication to global cooperation, thanking the Korean Embassy for its consistent support in enhancing educational and cultural programs.
Key highlights of the event included:
- Screening of a Korean feature film, introducing cinematic perspectives from Korea
- A thought-provoking lecture by Ambassador Park on cross-cultural friendship
- Traditional Korean Samulnori drum performance by the EOLSSU Team
Renowned faculty and dignitaries, including Prof. Dr. Jamil Asghar Jami, Mr. Ahtisham Hussain, and Dr. Atif Faraz, attended the program alongside a large number of enthusiastic students.
The celebration concluded with the distribution of authentic Korean snacks, adding a delightful culinary element to the immersive cultural experience.
