Islamabad — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has dispatched a large-scale emergency relief convoy to support families affected by devastating flash floods and cloudbursts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Pakistan.

Speaking on the occasion, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Bin Said Al Maliki conveyed the Saudi government’s deep sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by the floods. He reaffirmed Riyadh’s commitment to stand with Pakistan in difficult times, assuring continued humanitarian assistance for affected communities.

Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination, Rana Sanaullah, thanked the Saudi leadership for extending timely support. He emphasized that KSrelief’s humanitarian gesture is a true reflection of the brotherly ties and long-standing Pakistan–Saudi Arabia friendship.

The relief convoy includes 10,000 shelter kits and 10,000 food packages for flood-hit families.

  • Shelter kits comprise tents, solar panels with LED lights, thermal blankets, kitchen sets, plastic mats, water coolers, and hygiene supplies.
  • Food packages, weighing 95 kilograms each, contain wheat flour, sugar, lentils, and cooking oil to meet the immediate nutritional needs of families.

Relief distribution will be carried out in partnership with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), the Relief, Rehabilitation and Settlement Department (RR&SD), and KSrelief’s local implementing partners.

Over the years, KSrelief has launched multiple projects in Pakistan’s food security, healthcare, shelter, education, and disaster response sectors, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s consistent commitment to humanitarian aid and regional stability.
