Kurdistan President Barzani Meets UAE Leader to Discuss Investment and Regional Stability
President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, held a high-level meeting with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi on Monday, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties, enhancing Emirati investment in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, and addressing regional stability.
In an official statement issued by the Kurdistan Region Presidency, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation between the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region, particularly in areas of economic development and strategic collaboration.
The meeting highlighted opportunities for increased Emirati investment, with particular emphasis on the vital role of the private sector in fostering economic growth and infrastructure development in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
The two leaders also exchanged views on the broader situation in the Middle East, including the evolving dynamics in Syria and ongoing security concerns. They underscored the necessity of preserving peace and stability in the region and emphasized the value of dialogue and diplomacy as tools for resolving disputes and preventing further conflict.
President Barzani and President Bin Zayed concluded their discussions by expressing mutual interest in expanding long-term cooperation, with a shared vision of building resilient partnerships that serve the interests of their people and contribute to regional prosperity and security.
