Lt. Gen. Muhammad Ali Appointed as Pakistan’s New Defense Secretary

In a significant move, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appointed Lt. Gen. Muhammad Ali as the new Secretary of Defense. The decision was formalized through a notification from the Establishment Division.

Effective October 1, Lt. Gen. Muhammad Ali will commence his tenure, which is slated to last for two years and three months. His appointment is expected to enhance Pakistan’s defense administration, as he brings extensive military experience to the role.

According to the notification, Lieutenant General Muhammad Ali’s term will conclude on December 31, 2026, marking a crucial period in the country’s defense strategy and policy implementation.
