Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim Receives Guard of Honor in Pakistan

Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim was accorded a formal guard of honor on Thursday upon his arrival at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad, where he met his Pakistani counterpart, Shehbaz Sharif. As part of his three-day state visit, Anwar Ibrahim was warmly welcomed by Prime Minister Shehbaz. The national anthems of both nations were played, and a smart contingent of the armed forces presented the guard of honor, which the Malaysian prime minister reviewed.

Following the ceremony, both leaders introduced their respective delegations before engaging in bilateral talks. As part of tradition, Prime Minister Ibrahim also planted a sapling in the lawn of the Prime Minister’s House.
