Muslim World League Honors Global Quran Memorizers with Quranic Ijazahs
The Muslim World League (MWL) has announced the awarding of Quranic ijazahs to distinguished men and women worldwide who have successfully memorized the Holy Quran, reaffirming its commitment to preserving the sacred tradition of Quranic memorization.
Quranic ijazahs are esteemed spiritual endorsements, each bearing an unbroken chain of transmission (isnad) that connects directly to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). These certifications symbolize authenticity, excellence, and a deep devotion to the preservation of the Holy Quran.
In an official statement, the Muslim World League emphasized that the initiative forms part of its broader mission to strengthen Islamic values, promote religious scholarship, and honor exceptional contributions to Islamic heritage.
“Awarding Quranic ijazahs is a profound acknowledgment of the memorizer’s dedication, perseverance, and lifelong connection to a sacred tradition,” a League spokesperson stated.
Recipients of these honors represent diverse nationalities and cultural backgrounds, reflecting the global unity and universal message of Islam. Many awardees have also completed rigorous studies in Tajweed (correct pronunciation) and Quranic sciences, further enhancing the authenticity and accuracy of their recitation.
The MWL reiterated its commitment to supporting Quranic education programs and nurturing institutions dedicated to producing future generations of Huffaz (memorizers) who maintain the highest standards of Quranic scholarship.
This year’s initiative stands as a powerful testament to the enduring significance of Quranic memorization in modern times and highlights the Muslim World League’s pivotal role in safeguarding the spiritual legacy of the Muslim Ummah.
