Muslim World League Secretary-General Strengthens Ties with Duke University During Official Visit
His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Alissa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, met with Dr. Vincent Price, President of Duke University, during an official visit to the United States.
President Price extended a warm welcome to Dr. Alissa and expressed his deep appreciation for the university’s opportunity to host a lecture on “Islamic Civilization”, followed by a series of engaging discussions. He praised the visit as a valuable platform for promoting mutual understanding and academic exchange.
Following the lecture, Dr. Alissa engaged in open dialogue with deputies, deans, professors, and students, addressing a variety of contemporary global issues and providing thoughtful perspectives rooted in Islamic heritage and scholarship.
During their meeting, both leaders explored new avenues for enhancing the existing partnership between the Muslim World League and Duke University. The discussion focused on collaborative academic programs, interfaith dialogue, and opportunities for deeper cultural exchange.
