
MWL Launches Humanitarian Projects in Kenya

The Secretary General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, has inaugurated several humanitarian initiatives in Kenya, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.
One notable project focuses on combating blindness, implemented in collaboration with Lions SightFirst Eye Hospital. This initiative includes cataract surgeries for hundreds of patients, comprehensive eye examinations, and the provision of essential medications and medical supplies. Representatives from Kenya’s Ministry of Health and various African humanitarian organizations attended the inauguration ceremony.
Dr. Al-Issa also reviewed the ongoing slum development projects in Kenya, overseen by the MWL in partnership with international organizations. He reaffirmed MWL’s dedication to addressing the community’s solar energy requirements, enhancing access to sustainable energy solutions.
Additionally, Al-Issa attended the signing of a cooperation agreement between the MWL and the Hepatitis Fund. The agreement aims to enhance global efforts in prevention, treatment, and care for hepatitis, a disease that continues to threaten millions of lives worldwide.
