Netanyahu Warns: “Will Evacuate Gaza Again If Hamas Violates the Agreement”

As the prisoner exchange process continues between Israel and Hamas, the ceasefire agreement in Gaza remains in effect. However, Tel Aviv has hinted at the possibility of resuming military operations and forcing the displacement of Gaza residents if Hamas breaches the truce.

Israeli Stance on Hamas & Regional Influence

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s spokesperson, Omer Dostri, stated:

“Our goal is to eliminate Hamas’s presence in Gaza. The government is closely monitoring Iran’s influence in the region.”

Conditions for a Permanent Ceasefire

According to the Jerusalem Post, Omer Dostri further clarified:
✅ Israel is willing to end the war permanently if Hamas agrees to complete disarmament and leaves Gaza via a safe corridor.
✅ “Gaza free from Hamas. If it can be achieved without firing a single bullet, that would be ideal. If not, we will resume military action.”

Possibility of a Second Mass Evacuation

Dostri also addressed previous doubts about Netanyahu’s commitment to further military action, stating:

“After the first ceasefire, some believed Netanyahu would not re-engage in the war or enter Rafah. Yet, we did. If Hamas violates the agreement, we will restart the conflict and successfully evacuate the population again.”

Concerns Over Hostage Release & Negotiations

The Israeli official admitted uncertainty about Hamas voluntarily releasing all captives, as it retains bargaining power for future negotiations.

“This deal is not a failure, but it is far from perfect. It came at a cost.”

Trump’s Proposal & International Discussions

When asked about former U.S. President Donald Trump’s suggestion to relocate Gaza’s residents to Jordan or Egypt, Dostri responded:

“This reflects an element of unpredictability. Every democratic nation upholds the right of citizens to migrate. If we want Gaza’s people to establish a governance system that respects human rights, they should be given that opportunity.”
