New Cultural Initiative Between Pakistan and Iran: Iranian Consul General’s Remarks

In Pakistan, Iranian Consul General Mr. Mehran Mohaffer has stated that the appointment of Dr. Zahid Munir Amir to the Chair of Urdu and Pakistan Studies at Tehran University will enhance relations between the two countries. He emphasized that the activation of this position will end the long wait for the arrival of Pakistani scholars.

Mr. Mohaffer highlighted that Iran’s Saadi Foundation has already recognized Dr. Zahid’s contributions, and the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) has also honored him as an outstanding researcher.

Dr. Zahid Munir Amir presented his Persian poetry collection, “Jahan-e-Bay-Payan,” and his latest research-based book, “Akbar Bin Iqbal,” to Consul General Mr. Mohaffer. The Consul General expressed his enjoyment of Dr. Zahid’s poetry collection and his deep interest in the newly published biographical works of Dr. Zahid Munir Amir.
