New Zealand Cricket Team Arrives in Lahore for Tri-Nation Series, Champions Trophy

The New Zealand men’s cricket team landed in Lahore in the early hours of Wednesday, arriving via Dubai ahead of their participation in the upcoming tri-nation series featuring Pakistan and South Africa, followed by the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025.

Preparations Begin for High-Stakes Tournaments

Led by Mitchell Santner, the Black Caps are set to begin their preparations at the revamped Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, where they will hold a training session on Thursday evening.

The highly anticipated tri-nation series will serve as a crucial warm-up for all three teams ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy, which returns to Pakistan after nearly three decades.

Opening Match Against Pakistan in Karachi

New Zealand will kick off their Champions Trophy campaign by facing hosts Pakistan in the tournament opener at National Stadium, Karachi, on February 19.

Meanwhile, their tri-nation series matches will provide the team with valuable experience in subcontinental conditions, helping them adapt before the major ICC event.

South African Team to Arrive on February 6

Adding to the excitement, the South African men’s cricket team is scheduled to arrive in Lahore on February 6, completing the lineup for the tri-nation series.

With the arrival of world-class teams and Pakistan gearing up to host an ICC event on home soil, the stage is set for an exhilarating month of international cricket in the country.
