North Korea Fires Multiple Ballistic Missiles

North Korea has conducted tests involving multiple ballistic missiles, sparking alerts in neighboring countries. Both South Korea and Japan have verified that the missile launches took place earlier this morning.

According to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, North Korea fired several short-range ballistic missiles into the East Sea. The statement emphasized that surveillance in the region has been intensified following the launches and that U.S. and Japanese authorities have been notified.

Kim Yo-jong, sister to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, commented that these tests are part of efforts to bolster military strength to face external threats.
