NSC Grants Pakistan Army Full Authority for Retaliatory Action Against Indian Aggression
The National Security Committee (NSC), chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has granted the Pakistan Armed Forces complete authority to respond to India’s unprovoked aggression.
The high-level meeting reviewed the Indian strikes carried out the previous night and Pakistan Army’s immediate counter-response. Participants included federal ministers and heads of the armed forces. The committee received a comprehensive briefing on current tensions between India and Pakistan, alongside an analysis of regional developments.
According to the official statement issued after the meeting, the NSC strongly condemned India’s act of aggression, labeling it a blatant violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and regional integrity.
The statement declared that India had targeted civilian populations, including women and children, under the false pretext of attacking non-existent terrorist camps. Attacks were reported in Sialkot, Shakargarh, Muridke, Bahawalpur, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad, where residential areas, mosques, and infrastructure sustained damage.
The NSC expressed deep concern over the situation created by India’s cowardly actions and confirmed that the Pakistan Army has been given full authorization to take all necessary retaliatory measures. The statement emphasized that India’s actions fall clearly under acts of war as per international law.
