OIC Condemns Israeli Settlement Expansion, Warns Against Forced Palestinian Displacement

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned Israel’s approval of 13 illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank, calling it a blatant violation of international law and United Nations resolutions.

In a statement on Monday, the OIC denounced Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich’s remarks, which framed the move as part of a broader plan to impose Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank. The organization also warned against reported plans to establish an agency facilitating the displacement of Palestinians under the guise of “voluntary departure.”

Reiterating its rejection of any forced displacement or exile of Palestinians, the OIC emphasized that such actions violate international humanitarian law. The organization urged the UN Security Council and the global community to take decisive action, including sanctions, to hold Israel accountable for settlement expansion, home demolitions, and human rights violations.

The OIC reaffirmed its support for a two-state solution, calling for urgent international intervention to protect Palestinian rights and sovereignty.
