Over 400 Anti-Trump Rallies Planned Nationwide in Massive Push to ‘Protect Democracy’
Report By Safarti Tarjuman International Desk
The United States is bracing for a major wave of anti-Trump demonstrations this weekend, as more than 400 rallies are set to take place across the country in what organizers are calling a historic stand for democracy.
The protests, driven by the grassroots movement “50501” — a name symbolizing 50 protests in 50 states united under one cause — mark the second national day of action within just two weeks. Organizers are urging over 11 million Americans, approximately 3.5% of the population, to take to the streets in what could become one of the largest coordinated protest efforts in recent U.S. history.
Demonstrations are set to occur in major cities, with key gatherings planned in Washington D.C., including outside Vice President JD Vance’s residence and a march from the George Washington Monument to the White House. The D.C. rally will also spotlight the case of Kilmar Ábrego García, a Salvadoran with U.S. protected status who was unlawfully deported, as confirmed by court rulings.
