Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has unveiled conclusive evidence confirming the destruction of five Indian fighter jets during a prolonged aerial battle that took place on the night of May 6 and 7. The announcement was made during a joint press conference held by DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry and senior PAF officials.

During the press briefing, it was revealed that the Pakistani fighter pilots downed three Rafale aircraft, one MiG-29, and one SU-30 in a dogfight that lasted over an hour. The operation was described as a defensive response to hostile Indian activity near Pakistan’s airspace.

Indian authorities have publicly denied any aircraft losses, but multiple Indian media outlets initially reported the crashes before being forced to retract their stories. India Today confirmed aircraft debris in Pampore, while other reports identified crash sites in Jammu’s Ramban area and near Bathinda, Punjab. Evidence presented by the Pakistan military included verified footage of aircraft wreckage, tail sections, and engine parts. One tail section was identified as belonging to Rafale BS-001 of the 17 Golden Arrow Squadron.

Independent verification came from international and Indian journalists. BBC correspondents in Kashmir confirmed hearing loud explosions, consistent with aerial crashes. Indian defense analyst Praveen Sawhney also validated the loss of three jets but was later silenced by Indian media platforms. Journalist Karan Thapar faced similar censorship after speaking out.

DG ISPR highlighted that modern warfare leaves behind undeniable digital and physical traces. The evidence, backed by geolocation data and real-time visuals, leaves little room for dispute.

The Pakistan Air Force reaffirmed its commitment to protecting national airspace and maintaining regional stability amid increasing Indian aggression. The situation remains under close observation by international defense and diplomatic communities.
