Pakistan and EU Strengthen Ties: Speaker Ayaz Sadiq Highlights Commitment to Strategic Partnership

In a meeting with the European Union delegation, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to enhancing its strategic partnership with the EU. Sadiq, speaking at Parliament House with EU Special Envoy Frans van Daele and Ambassador Dr. Reena Kavinka in attendance, underscored Pakistan’s rich multicultural and multi-religious fabric, where citizens’ fundamental rights are protected by the Constitution.

Sadiq praised the role of minorities in Pakistan’s progress and reiterated Parliament’s efforts to foster religious harmony and ensure their representation. He also called on the international community to address human rights abuses in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir and Gaza.

Frans van Daele acknowledged Pakistan’s global importance and expressed the EU’s commitment to strengthening both bilateral and multilateral ties with Pakistan.
