Pakistan and Kuwait Pledge to Boost Defence Ties and Regional Cooperation
Pakistan and Kuwait have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening defence cooperation and expanding regional collaboration. The renewed pledge came during a meeting between Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Kuwaiti Ambassador Nassar Abdulrahman Jasser Almutairi in Islamabad on Tuesday.
Strategic Dialogue for Stronger Bilateral Relations
The meeting focused on enhancing military collaboration and exploring new avenues to strengthen the long-standing ties between the two brotherly nations.
Minister Asif emphasized the enduring nature of Pakistan-Kuwait relations, stating:
“Our partnership is rooted in mutual trust and shared goals. We see tremendous potential for future growth, especially in defence and regional stability.”
Kuwait Signals Interest in Deeper Defence Engagement
Ambassador Almutairi expressed Kuwait’s strong interest in furthering defence collaboration with Pakistan. He praised Islamabad’s role in promoting regional peace and highlighted Kuwait’s desire to work closely on joint security initiatives.
Both sides agreed on the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation to address common challenges in the region.
Plans for Future Engagements
The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing to hold further high-level exchanges in the coming months. These engagements will aim to explore opportunities in defence training, intelligence sharing, and joint military exercises.
