Pakistan and Uzbekistan Hold Third Round of Bilateral Consultations
Pakistan and Uzbekistan held the third round of Bilateral Political Consultations (BPC) in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to review and strengthen ties across various sectors.
The Pakistani delegation, led by Additional Foreign Secretary Syed Ali Asad Gillani, met with the Uzbek delegation, headed by Aloyev Bakhromjon Juraboyevich, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Both sides focused on enhancing cooperation in key areas such as political relations, inter-parliamentary dialogue, and economic collaboration. Other topics of discussion included trade, investment, energy, education, culture, information technology, and tourism.
The consultations also addressed ongoing regional and international developments, with both nations emphasizing their mutual commitment to fostering peace, stability, and development in the region. A strong focus was placed on increasing collaboration through international and regional platforms.
Both Pakistan and Uzbekistan expressed satisfaction with the progress made in their bilateral relations, reaffirming their shared commitment to continue strengthening ties. The next round of consultations will be hosted in Pakistan at a mutually agreed date.
