
Pakistan Announces 16-Member Squad for T20 Blind Cricket World Cup

The Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) has unveiled its 16-member national team for the upcoming fourth T20 Blind Cricket World Cup, set to kick off on November 23 in Pakistan. The team selection was finalized with the approval of PBCC Chairman Syed Sultan Shah, following recommendations from selectors Masood Jan, Muhammad Jamil, and Tahir Mehmood Butt.
Nisar Ali has been named as the team captain, with Badar Munir appointed as vice-captain. The squad includes players from various categories:
– **B1 Category:** Zafar Iqbal, Muhammad Idrees Saleem, Muhammad Shahzeb, Fakhar Abbas, Muhammad Asif, Muhammad Salman
– **B2 Category:** Babar Ali, Nematullah, Haroon Khan
– **B3 Category:** Muhammad Safdar, Kamran Akhtar, Akmal Hayat Nasir, Talha Iqbal, Mutiullah
Reserves for the team include Muhammad Ayaz, Moeen Aslam, and Muhammad Rashid. The coaching lineup features Muhammad Jamil as the head coach, with Masood Jan serving as assistant coach. Malik Abrar Hussain will manage the team, supported by assistant manager Naveed Hussain Abbasi and trainer Tahir Mehmood Butt.
Pakistan’s first match in the tournament will be held on November 23 against South Africa in Lahore.
Chairman Syed Sultan Shah highlighted that the squad combines experienced players with promising new talent who have shown exceptional performances in recent domestic competitions. He expressed confidence that the team will meet the nation’s expectations and deliver a strong performance in the World Cup.
